1 January 1999 - 5 to 7 digit national numbers
Swaziland national numbers now have seven digits, when two digits were prepended to each former 5-digit number. This change was made by telephone carrier SPTC for 1st January 1999, presumably in a flash cut.
Cellular numbers were expected to be reachable domestically using 026 + 7-digit cellular subscriber number.
There is also a phone number converter to determine the new 7-digit numbers based on the former 5-digit numbers.
A page from kallbackafrica.com also indicates the new 7-digit national numbers.
See also the swazi.com list of new codes.
