1 September 2001 - mobile number portability
As of 1 September 2001, mobile numbers in Sweden became portable - that is, mobile carriers within Sweden can be changed while retaining the same mobile number. National mobile telephone numbers no longer indicate the identity of the mobile carrier.

11 September 1999 - carrier pre-selection, 00+ international prefix
The European-standard international prefix 00+ replaced 009+ as of 11 September 1999. There was no transitional period for the change.
Carrier pre-selection, including "casual" calling of carriers with codes of the form 95xx, was also effective 11 September 1999.
